Upcoming conference: 10th EI Africa Regional Conference

Education International Africa Region will be holding its 10th Regional Conference at the Sandton Convention Centre, Johannesburg, South Africa, from 19 – 24 November 2023.  The Regional Conference is held every four years, at least six months prior to the EI World Congress. The Conference will be attended by 400 delegates, observers, and guests from across and beyond the region.

Held under the theme, “Standing Together for Resilient Education Systems in Times of Crisis”, the Regional Conference will come up with strategies for ensuring equitable inclusive quality public education for all despite the numerous crises in the region. These include the Covid-19 pandemic, Ebola, HIV and AIDS, conflict and climate change.

Furthermore, the Conference will review the EI Africa By-Laws, adopt the programme and budget for the next four years, pass resolutions on critical issues affecting the region, and elect a new Regional Committee.
